The Project

Neurology units are currently scattered, which does not favor optimized patient follow-ups. This project aims to address the increase in activity as well as the exponential development of technologies.

By grouping all neurology services within the Castaigne building in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, the project owner AP-HP – University Hospitals La Pitié Salpêtrière – Charles Foix provides true comfort to patients and staff. This project also supports the recruitment of healthcare professionals and researchers.

Designed by the architecture firm Groupe-6, this renovation and new construction project seeks to respect the "living heritage" (Groupe-6) and the "strong and integrated identity" (Groupe-6) of the existing buildings. To do so, the new facades will be "expressive" and "innovative," and will be enhanced both visually and thermally. Inside, everything is designed to improve the clarity of different services. The goal is to help patients navigate easily, which also helps to streamline traffic flow.
